Lent...

For Lent I'm giving up kale, yams, beets, rhubarb, MySpace, polkas, slides, craft beer, Fox News, colonoscopy preps, texts, texting, Governor Rauner, snow, sub-zero temperatures, leg-cramps, out of tune instruments, stubbing big toe into coffee table, vinegar on chips, ketchup, unknown callers, Jay Cutler, and jagoffs.

Wait, what do you mean you are supposed to give up things you like??? Oh... :-))

2014-2015...

For last year's words belong to last year's language

And next year's words await another voice.

And to make an end is to make a beginning...

Chanukah

It was Chanukah and the tiny village outside Budapest in Hungary was frightened that they may not have any latkes because they had run out of flour.

Rudi, the Rabbi, was called upon to help solve the problem. He said, 'Don't worry, you can substitute matzo meal for the flour, and the latkes will be just as delicious.'

Sarah looks to her husband and says, 'Samuel, you think it'll work?'

'Of course,' Samuel replies, 'Everybody knows Rudolph the Rab knows grain, dear.'

;-)) Happy Chanukah All!!
